How to Creatively Place Wall Decals
in Kids' Rooms If you've decided to use wall decals to give your child's bedroom a new look, this is a very wise decision indeed. Wall decals are very affordable and cost just a few dollars apiece. They're also very attractive and come in various colors and styles. You can use them very easily because they are simply stickers. How do you become creative with them, though? That's not something you should worry about, because with these types of decals, you can do anything, from crazy to conservative. Whatever you decide to do in terms of concepts or colors, though, of course you should consult with your child first because it is his or her room. Give your child the creative freedom to do what he or she wants, with some guidance, of course. Kids' wall decals are best placed on walls, either concrete or wooden surfaces. Drywall or painted surfaces, too, can take them just fine. The adhesives stick to both kinds of surface, but you should have them be as smooth as possible for a flat look and a better visual effect with the design. You don't need to worry about the damage that kids' room wall decals will inflict on said surfaces. Due to the lightweight adhesive used on their backsides, you can easily paste it on and peel it off the walls. Of course, it goes without saying that you can place them any which way you want; in a semicircle, in a circle, in a line, and even scattered around the room just as long as it looks good to you and your child. Do you want the color of the decals to complement the decor or to stand out? Have them blend in or provide eye-popping contrast. Again, the choice is yours, and what you choose along with your child will be what determines what you'll do. This is, of course, your child's room and not anybody else's. Just as one example, if you have solid colored walls, you can put colorful wall decals on them. That'll make the decals themselves truly stand out and call attention to the fact that your child's room is indeed his or hers, with the letter decals clearly spelling out your child's name. Another way you might want to illustrate your child's personality is if your child likes flowers, you can place flower wall decals strategically in places you like, such as over her bed. You can let your child's imagination go beyond the walls, too. You can also use the decals on your child's bedroom furniture, since at least some of the furniture will have a flat surface. It'll give the furniture a personalized touch courtesy of the decals you use, and it may also lighten up and liven up a space that's otherwise somewhat drab. Just as one example, if you have solid colored furniture in your child's bedroom come you can place kids room wall decals on closets, headboards, tables, chairs, and toy chests, spelling out your child's name, or creating designs that are unique. For example, you can transform a simple chair into a rainbow themed perch. With just a little imagination and some time, you can certainly transform your child's room into his or her own unique space with just a little money. There are lots of designs available, including circles, hearts, flowers, and other designs in many colors that can make this possible for you and your child to do.
